Review: NARS Portobello Eyeshadow Duo

As a makeup artist, I find myself frequently going to this eyeshadow duo by NARS. It really is one of those “universal color” combos that works on just about everyone. The “taupey” shade in the duo is perfect for adding definition to the crease, but not too dark, and the highlight shade is just right: not too light, not shimmery. And NARS shadows don’t end up with dust flying everywhere from the product. You get good color payoff. Most women want something to work for everyday, a professional or just downtime kind of look. The “Portobello” eyeshadow duo is it. I LOVE the packaging–I find it kind of edgy, but it does get fingerprints on it if you’re not careful (I am a clean-freak, so I clean my compacts!). It is a bit pricier, but you get what you pay for.
